04.10.2024 TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu Conducted Inspections at Büyük Menderes Agricultural Products Licensed Warehousing Inc.

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), visited Aydın as part of a series of visits.

During Hisarcıklıoğlu's visit to Aydın, Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of the Aydın Commodity Exchange, Assembly Chairman A. Bahri Erdel, Deputy Assembly Chairman Rıza Uyar, Vice Chairman of the Board Cengiz Ülgen, and Assembly Members Ahmet Şenel, Adem Türkmen and Mehmet Akkan were present.

After attending the 50th anniversary events of the Söke Chamber of Commerce and visiting the Söke Commodity Exchange, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Büyük Menderes Agricultural Products Licensed Warehousing Inc., established in partnership with the Aydın Commodity Exchange, İzmir Commodity Exchange and Söke Commodity Exchange.

Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of the Aydın Commodity Exchange, provided comprehensive information about the operations of Büyük Menderes Agricultural Products Licensed Warehousing Inc., which is an important investment for the cotton sector regarding the proper storage and preservation of cotton. Çondur spoke about the contributions of licensed warehousing to the regional economy. He emphasized that developing the trade of agricultural products and enabling producers to store their goods in safe and healthy conditions is a significant step in regional development. Çondur stated that this model offers great advantages to producers in the region, aiming to protect the prices of products against fluctuations and ensure income stability for farmers through the licensed warehousing system.

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB, highlighted the contributions of licensed warehousing to agricultural production and trade in the region by examining this important project on-site. Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that preserving agricultural products in quality conditions for a longer duration and increasing trade volume through the licensed warehousing system is a significant gain. Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that such projects serve as examples for other regions.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that projects like this benefit both producers and consumers in terms of regional development and the preservation of the value of agricultural products.
