Aydın Commodity Exchange has implemented Growing Companies with Green Transformation Project with the 2023 Technical Support of the South Aegean Development Agency, in order to address the effects of the European Green Deal on agricultural production in Turkey with a holistic approach.
DCUBE Sustainability and Circular Economy Consultancy Inc. Instructors Başak Demir and Gülcan Ergün; EU experiences in developing national strategies and action plans for waste and resource management, carbon regulation mechanism at the border, circular economy business models and services, sustainable resource use and digitalization in food and agriculture, and agriculture and agriculture-based industrial sector developments were trained and Aydın Commodity Exchange informed the members.
The aim of the training was to ensure food security, manage natural resources sustainably, reduce dependence on renewable and non-sustainable resources, and take measures against climate change. In order for our country not to encounter difficulties in European Union trade, Turkish industry should follow these updates closely. In this project, which aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions with the regulations and incentives it will bring not only to the industrial sector but to all sectors, the current action plan regarding the circular economy in Aydın province has been prepared.
Making a statement regarding the Growing Companies with Green Transformation training, Aydın Commodity Exchange Chairman Fevzi Çondur said that Aydın Commodity Exchange holds on developing projects to benefit our members and the economic and social development of our city. In this direction, our Stock Exchange has implemented the Green Transformation and Bright Enterprises Project in order to raise awareness with the Green Agreement Action Plan, which initiates the new economic and social transformation process in the developing and changing world, and to encourage the members of our Stock Exchange to adopt sustainable production methods in this field.
