07.10.2022 Aydın Commodity Exchange Management Participated the October 7th World Cotton Day Event

Izmir Commodity Exchange, Aegean Exporters' Associations, Soke Commodity Exchange, Soke Chamber of Agriculture, International Cotton Council, Aegean Clothing Manufacturers' Association, Good Cotton Practice Association and Aydın Commodity Exchange, which is part of 8 institutions that have been working together to develop our country's cotton and cotton-based sectors, came together to organize the 7th of October World Cotton Day event, which was physically celebrated for the first time in our country.

October 7th was marked the first time Turkey celebrated the World Cotton Day. The World Cotton Day celebrations in Soke, where the largest cotton production in Aegean Region took place, were attended by Fevzi Condur, Chairman of Aydın Commodity Exchange, Cengiz Ulgen Vice Chairman and Mehmet Akkan member of parliament. 

To highlight the importance of cotton production and trade, the worldwide message ''Forever Cotton'' was given at daylong events during World Cotton Day, held annually on October 7th since 2019.

Stating World Cotton Day activities, known ''white gold'' for agriculture and industry as ''an agrarian product that is a source of income and maintains the strategic importance of tens of thousands of people, form farmers, merchants, textile-ready clothing'' Fevzi Condur, Chairman of Aydın Commodity Exchange, added that taking into account the strategic place and importance of cotton production and consumption to the economy in our country, there should be aimed to bring cotton production to a level holding the policies that meets these goals.''

Mr. Condur expressed his thanks to all those who have worked for the organization, who have provided a good and fertile season to manufacturers, cotton ginners and industrialists.
