S. S. 46
Visiting the fairgrounds attended by 356 national and international brands, Aydın Governor Hüseyin Aksoy and his delegation lobserved to the lastest developments and innovations in the agriculture, food and livestock sectors and received on-site information.
Aydın Governor Hüseyin Aksoy who expressed some explanations after his visiting to Aydın International Agriculture, Food and Livestock Fair said '' Agriculture is an important sector for Aydın and it makes an important contribution in the fairs for this sector to reach such a remarkable point. It provides a collaboration between the manufacturer and the user of this manufactured product. In this sense, we could see the fairs as an organization that will contribute to the development of agriculture in Aydın and in the country. I would like to thank all our chambers, especially Aydın Commodity Exchange and all institutions that support them for their efforts.''
Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of Aydın Commodity Exchange, stated that they could not carry out the fair due to the pandemic in 2021 and reached 342 thousand visitors with 358 companies in the fair hald in 2020 and stated that with this number, they are the 3rd largest agricultural fair in our country's agricultural fairs. Mr. Çondur, '' this year, we opened our fair with the participation of 168 companies with 356 brands, a little more comprehensive than previous one. Our goal is to exceed the number of visitors from 342 thousand, but due to the pandemic conditions, we do not know how our people will participate, but our aim is to end our fair with at least 342 thousand visitors and we expect it to increase to at least 250 million TL in sales of TL 180 million.''
Stating that Aydın is among the top three cities in our country with its agricultural potential and has a significant agricultural turnover, Çondur said that they are in a leading position in the agricultural sector withi our country. Çondur added ''We are in an ambitious position in both domestic sales and exports. Our companies are getting stronger day by day. This year, it is the participation of Aydın companies, especially agricultural mechanization companies, which attracted our attention at the fair. That's why I thank each company warmly. Our local companies also claimed our fair in Aydın.''
Stating that many visitors from abroad participated in international fairs and that many companies originating from abroad took part in international fairs, Mr. Çondur stated that they would like to organize fairs in European standards in the fair area to be held by Aydın Metropolitan Municipality.
Mr. Çondur, stating that many products from automatic steering to state of the art tractors to state of the art tillery equipment were exhibited at the 9th Aydın International Agriculture, Food and Livestock Fair, added that the mechanization and electronic equipment that comes to the feet of any farmer in Europe is now available at the fairgrounds, while the fair offers the producers some opportunities to see these innovations and have on site inspection and equipment.
Aydın Memecik Olive Oil tasting and promotional events will be held at the fair, which will welcome visitors between 10.00-18.00 until Sunday, January 16, 2022.
