Aydın Commodity Exchange Chairman of the Board of Directors Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Assembly A. Bahri Erdel, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Cengiz Ülgen and General Secretary Neslihan Duymaz visited the General Directorate of Customs of the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey.
Within the scope of the visit, Mr. Çondur met with the General Manager of Customs, Mustafa Gümüş. During the visit, information was given about the activities of Aydın Commodity Exchange and the work of the Type A Warehouse put into service for our exporters. Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aydın Commodity Exchange, conveyed his requests and suggestions to Mustafa Gümüş, General Manager of Customs, regarding the issues to be taken into consideration within the framework of Circular No. 2024/8 for Handling Requests Outside the Warehouse.
Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of Aydın Commodity Exchange, also expressed his views on the exemption of Turkish export goods and returned goods from the articles regarding the YGM Guide published within the scope of Circular No. 2024/8. He stated that most of the companies, especially those with SME status, are having difficulties due to insufficient paid capital.
Mr. Çondur stated that while companies are under many financial obligations due to exports, it will be heavy to pay the guarantee fee again for handling operations to be carried out outside the warehouse, and said that if food products are not handled on time, the risk of spoilage increases and this He emphasized that it caused product damage. For this reason, he requested that exporting companies be exempt from the articles regarding the YGM Guide.
