Issue 14: Passion for Figs

Semra and Nuri Ağaçcı, having grown up as part of a farming family, started their lives by embracing natural, healthy eating, a habit that has continued to grow to this day. One of their commitments in business is to instill healthy and natural eating habits in the people around them, just as they have in their own lives. For this reason, they carefully choose the highest quality and most natural products in all of their trade and manufacturing, presenting them to customers with great care.

In 1994, Semra began her innovative product journey with a creation called “Fig Dream,” which she prepared with love for her family, combining figs with chocolate.

Nuri's unwavering belief in his wife and his persistent efforts to ensure that people do not miss out on this delightful flavor continue the journey as “Fig Love.”

After six years of research, their passion for figs deepens even further. They go to bed with figs on their minds and wake up to each new day thinking of them. Due to their son’s school, they find themselves in Eskişehir. Passing by a nut shop, they are struck by the sight of figs in their worst condition. They feel saddened while examining the figs that have lost all traces of their natural state. This incident intensifies their protective attitude towards figs. Believing that everyone should eat natural figs, they renovate the space behind their existing workplace and turn it into a production area. “Fig Dream” begins to meet the public. They establish their “YİNGARİ” brand and register it with the Turkish Patent Institute. To preserve the naturalness of the figs, they conduct extensive research for an extended period just for visual appeal. They eventually find the fabrics they were looking for in Ödemiş, after stops in Buldan and Babadağ. They prepare their unconventional packaging by hand.

On the eve of the 2009 Ramadan Feast, they opened the “YİNGARİ” sales point along with their production facility. Semra and Nuri continue to produce until the early hours of the morning. They return home with the peace that comes from doing their work in the best way possible, meticulously, and without compromising its naturalness. Since they are not as familiar with chocolate as they are with figs, they encounter many challenges. They try once, twice, three times, but it doesn’t work. Undeterred by their love for figs, they persist through the difficulties, growing stronger as they face challenges, and continue to develop many new products. They are now among the most preferred and trusted brands for purchasing figs.

They also deliver their flavors to other cities through online sales. Currently, they are excited about bringing the taste of figs to their customers. They are preparing to meet fig lovers with “YİNGARİ” sales points in Izmir and Istanbul.

May your path be clear.

Stay healthy with figs!
