16.07.2021 - Aydın Commodity Exchange Holds To Register The Products of Its Own As An Agricultural City

Aydın Commodity Exchange has received geographical sign registration of  ‘’Aydın Pine Nut’’ which is a significant source of income for the local people and a place in rural development.

The application for ‘’Aydın Pine Nuts’’ geographical indication made to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority on 19.06.2019 with the number C2019/071, has registered care of the institutions related to The Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority on 16.07.2021.

Aydın Commodity Exchange Aydın Pine Nut application to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority was published in the Geographical Sign and Traditional Products Name Bulletin of Turkish Patent and Authority and has received the registration of geographical indication certificate after the completion of three months reclamation period. Aydın Pine Nuts, which provides added value to our province and our country’s economy, completed the geographical marking process after being examined by the institutions related to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority.

Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, Fevzi Çondur who said that as Aydın Commodity Exchange, the area provides an important source of income to the local people and our province, which is of great importance in terms of rural development continues its studies unselfishly in order to brand our region’s agricultural products. stated ‘’ Our stock exchange continues to add value to all our wealthies that we have with geographical sign registration studies continues to make our agricultural products that integrate with our region competitive through branding’’.  Çondur explained that they are going to begin the studies on the geographical indication of the European Union for the ‘’Aydın Pine Nut’’ at the Aydın Commodity Exchange in order to increase the brand value of the Aydın Pine Nut, which is exported at a highly economical value in the international market.
