17.02.2022 Aydın Commodity Exchange Is Going To Present Aydın Memecik Olive Oil in Hatay

Aydın Memecik Olive Oil, which has been registered as a Protected Designation of Origin by Aydın Commodity Exchange, is going to be introduced in Hatay.

Aydın Commodity Exchange is introducing Aydın Memecik Olive Oil Tasting and Promotion events, which it has suspended due to the pandemic affecting our country and the world. The importance and distinctive properties of quality olive oil are going to be explained to consumers by tasting panalists at Aydın Memecik Olive Oil Tasting and Promotion Days events where pandemic measures are observing. At the Tasting and Introduction Days of Aydın Memecik Olive Oil, the panalists will explain ''what the right olie oil should be like'' and information is going to be given about the distinctive properties of original olive oil and consumption of it. Within the scope of the event, the recognition and awareness of Aydın Memecik Olive Oil will increase and boost the amount of domestic consumption per person.

For Aydın Memecik Olive Oil Tasting and Promotion Days, Chairman of Aydın Commodity Exchange, Fevzi Çondur stated, ''As you know, in the recent pandemic conditions affecting our country and the world, demand for natural and addictive-free products has increased, as well as rise in adulterated products rates. Aydın Commodity Exchange organized tasting and publicity events in 28 provinces for the first time under the name of increasing the market share of Olive Oil Project in 2015 to increase awareness of Aydın Memecik Olive Oil. In conclusion, we are going on our Tasting and Introducing Days of Aydın Memecik Olive Oil, being first organization in Turkey to receive Protected Designation of Origin Register on September 17, 2020 and to initiate the registration process of the European Union's geographical indication. We explain to our consumers what quality olive oil should look like with the tasting days we organize. We aim to raise the awareness of Aydın Memecik Olive Oil, which is of superior quality in terms of taste criteria and chemical properties by creating a conscious consumer through the tastings we have performed in many provinces of Turkey. We aim to increase the consumption of olive oil in our country.''
