21.02.2024 Aydın Chamber of Commerce Signed Vocational Training and Qualification Cooperation Protocol

AYTB Aydın Laboratory, a subsidiary of Aydın Commodity Exchange, aims to contribute to employment by training individuals who are equipped in line with the expectations of the sector in the field of product tasting and have a Professional Competence Certificate in order to ensure the quality standards of olives and olive oil, which are one of the important products of Aydın and a protocol was signed between AYTB Aydın Laboratory Services, a subsidiary of Aydın Commodity Exchange, in order to turn undocumented people working in the sector into a documented workforce, also. 

Making a statement regarding the protocol signing ceremony, Aydın Commodity Exchange Chairman of the Board of Directors, Fevzi Çondur stated that sensory analyzes have increased in addition to laboratory analyzes in olive oil and that there is a need for tasting panelists in the sensory analysis section. Mr. Condur added that “The certification of the tasting trainings we carry out as accredited will be done by AYMES company, owned by our Aydın Chamber of Commerce. We were providing the training, but the documentation of this part we could not do. Aydın Chamber of Commerce has studied on this with the collaboration, we implemented our project in the form of education from us, certification from the chamber of commerce. As two well-established institutions of Aydın, we always work in cooperation, and we came together on the occasion of this project."

Aydın Ticaret Odası Başkanı Hakan Ülken, projenin hayırlı olması temennisinde bulunarak, ““Yakın zamanda borsamız tarafından memecik zeytinyağı, Türkiye’deki sürecinin ardından Avrupa Birliği’nde de tescilini yaptırmış oldu. Aydın Ticaret Borsası tarafından uzun yıllardır devam eden zeytinyağı tadım eğitimleri vardı. Hala daha devam ediyor. Aydın Ticaret Odası olarak biz de Aydın Ticaret Odası Mesleki Yeterlilik Kurumu’nu (AYMES) kurduk ve birçok mesleki yeterlilik alanında da hizmet vermeye başladık.

Hakan Ulken, Chairman of Aydın Chamber of Commerce, wished the project to be beneficial said that Aydın Memecik Zeytinyağı was registered in the European Union by Aydın Commodity Exchang. There were olive oil tasting trainings organized by Aydın Commodity Exchange for many years and they still go ahead. As Aydın Chamber of Commerce, we established the Aydın Chamber of Commerce Vocational Qualifications Institution (AYMES) and started to provide services in many professional qualification areas.

One of them is to issue vocational qualification certificates related to olive oil tasting operatorship and to conduct their exams and authorization. All of these certifications will be valid in the European Union. As AYMES company of Aydın Chamber of Commerce, we will be conducting the exams and authorization of the tasting trainings that our Commodity Exchange has already carried out. Thus, Aydın Chamber of Commerce and Commodity Exchange in Aydın will have a valid training and certification in the EU on tasting operatorship, which is of great importance in terms of both Memecik olive oil and olive oil of our country. In terms of cooperation, this project is very valuable in terms of the culture of chambers and exchanges to act together.
