June 21,2021- TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Council is preparing Young People To The Future With İts ‘’ Engineer Girls Intern Portal of the Aegean Region’’

TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Council started Engineer Girls Intern Portal of Aegean Region which is the second of the projects prepared within the framework of strategic goals and actions.

TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board started its activities within the scope of Ege’s Engineer Girls Intern Portal project in order to support the compulsory internship programs of female students who have determined their choice of profession as engineering. In order to contribute to the economic and social empowerment young girls in the field of engineering, where their participation in the workforce is low, the Engineer Girls Of the Aegean Intern Portal Project was started in partnership with TOBB Aydın KGK, Aydın Commodity Exchange and Aydın Adnan Menderes University.

Chairman of the TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board Esen Türker, Secretary General of the Aydın Commodity Exchange Neslihan Duymaz, Adnan Menderes University Student Affairs Unit Computer Operator Murat Kaya came together with the future engineer candidates at the video-conference discussion event for the Ege Engineering Girls Intern Portal Project. At the briefing, the students were informed about the project and the internship process. Esen Türker, Chairman of the TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board, stated that the Project Engineer Girls Intern Portal from the Aegean Region, which aims to increase the employment of qualified women and at developing a role model, is important as it is an inclusive and sustainable project ‘’ We support and encourage women students who has begun to pay more attention to engineering within the scope of the project we have set at short and long-term goals by taking into account the interests, skills and personality of our women students’’ she said.  Türker stated that the students participating in the project are very excited and eager, and that they aim to provide internship, education and mentoring support to the female students studying in engineering faculties and to ensure that they find a place as 'equipped engineers' in the business world, and that the trainee portal where 8 female students who are selected from the engineering undergraduate education at Adnan Menderes University and selected from the future engineering candidates meet with the sector representatives. and stated that the students will carry out their internships within the designated dates.

Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aydın Commodity Exchange, stated that sustainable works with measurable social impact in our country and in the world have gained importance, and stated that as Aydın Commodity Exchange, they always attach special importance to education and projects aimed at young people. Wishing success during the internship period to the students involved in the Aegean Engineer Girls Intern Portal project, which was prepared under the leadership of TOBB Aydın KGK, which continues its activities under the coordination of Aydın Commodity Exchange, Çondur said, "With the Aegean Engineer Girls Intern Portal project prepared under the leadership of TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board, we will provide more internship opportunities to female students studying in engineering faculties and to the future of our country. It is aimed to make a distinction and contribute to its economic and social empowerment.
