The Smart SME Aydın Digital Transformation Conference, organized by Aydın Commodity Exchange under the auspices of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, took place on October 23rd.
As the fifth event of this year and the eighth in the series, the conference discussed various topics including the digital transformation journey of SMEs, digitalization in the food industry, digital transformation financial support, and many other subjects.
The conference was held with the main sponsorship of Turkcell Digital Business Services, platinum sponsorship of PayTR, and gold sponsorships from Logo Software, BIS Solution, and Eclit, supported by EBRD and JP Morgan. Panels featuring leading figures from the business world shared valuable insights on the digital transformation of SMEs and specific industry sectors.
In his opening speech, Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, stated, “The Smart SME Aydın Digital Transformation Conference, organized under the auspices of our Union, is an event that offers significant opportunities for our business world. Digital transformation has now become inevitable not only for large companies but also for our small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In the Smart SME Digitalization in the Food Industry session, Mehmet Akkan, a Member of the Aydın Commodity Exchange Assembly, shared the conveniences of digitalization in production processes with the participants.
By 2024, the Smart SME Digital Transformation Conferences aim to reach 200,000 SMEs across 6 cities.
Through the Smart SME Digital Transformation Conferences, over 150,000 SMEs have been reached so far. The series of conferences, aimed at supporting and accelerating the digital transformation of SMEs, will be held in one more city by the end of 2024. The event series is expected to reach a total of 200,000 SMEs by the end of the year, contributing to the digitalization of SMEs in Turkey.
