24.06.2022 Aydın Chestnut, Registered by EU Is Granted With an Award

Within 70th anniversary activities of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchange of Turkey (TOBB), Aydın Chestnut was the 4th anniversary of our country. A plaque was presented to Fevzi Condur, Chairman of Aydın Commodity Exchange, by the Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş Doc. and the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoglu on the occasion of Aydın Chestnut's registration in the European Union.

The 70th anniversary of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey was hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey President M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoglu. Assembly Presidents, Chairmen of the Board and General Assembly Delegates 0f 365 chambers and commodity exchanges, and representatives of the business world from 81 provinces.

At the TOBB 70th anniversary celebrations, the presidents of chambers and commodity exchanges who contributed to the promotion of the products registered in the EU were awarded. Fevzi Condur, Chairman of Aydın Commodity Exchanges, was presented with a plaque by Trade Minister Mehmet Muş Doc. and the President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoglu for the registration of Aydın Chestnut in the European Union.

Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of Aydın Commodity Exchange, stating that pioneering studies in promoting the local products of our province on the national and international platform added ''we are proud to be deemed worthy of an award by our Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş and our Union President M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoglu for the registration of Aydın Chestnut in the EU on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of our Union. As it is known, our Commodity Exchange has taken the necessary steps to protect our local wealthy, which are identified with Aydın, throughout our country and before European Union. Our aim is to increase the added value of our local products by branding them and to contribute to the expectations abroad. In this direction, our Commodity Exchange registered Aydın Chestnut as the 4th protected designation of origin in European Union on September 24, 2020 and protected Aydın Chestnut, which is integrated with our province. With Aydın Memecik Olive Oil and Aydın Memecik Olive, we aim to increase the number of registered products belonging to our province in the European Union to four. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the protected designation of origin process.''
