29.03.2021 A New Project From Aydın Entrepreneurs Board

TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board, which operates under the coordination of Aydın Commodity Exchange or the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, is preparing to implement its projects for female entrepreneurs under the umbrella of TOBB Aydın KGK Academy.

TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board, which goees its activities under the coordinatorship of Aydın Commodity Exchange of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, will bring together its projects prepared within the framework of strategic goals and actions under the umbrealla of TOBB Aydın KGK Academy in order to create a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem taht will enable the development of women's employment.

Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board completed 2021 Action Plan projects prepared in cooperation with Turkish Economic Policy Research Foundation TEPAV, led by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB), to rank 9th in Gender Equality ''Report Card'' of Turkey in 81 provinces.

TOBB Aydın KGK has started its studies to implement the projects in 3 different fields:Online KGK Certified Trainer Training Programme, Aegean Engineer Girls Trainee Portal and Women Friendly Industry Project. TOBB Aydın KGK aims to support equal participation in the industrial sector with men by ensuring that the gender roles and behaviors according to the culture, norms and values of the society are internalized in an equitable manner, which the female students who have determined their professional choices as engineering support their compulsory internship programmes and that women in the industrial sector participate in employment opportunities, management planning and decision-making processes.

Esen Turker, Chairman of TOBB Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board and Aegean Regional Representative, said '' As a result of 2021 action plan we have prepared as Aydın Women Entrepreneurs Board, we have started our studies to implement our projects. Our primary goal is to bring young people and successful female entrepreneurs to the forefront as role models and to increase the number of women employment in our province. As TOBB Aydın KGK, we have joined forces to make our projects sustainable. We believe that our projects, which we started with the motto ''If you believe, You succeed, You will win'' will inspire to women all. As TOBB Aydın KGK, we aim to transfer our experiences to young people, entrepreneurial women and to be role models for them while developing our knowledge. We would like to thank M. Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu, president of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Nurten Ozturk who is chairman of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Board, and Our Coordinator Aydın Commodity Exchange, who motivated our work with their beliefs in our establishment, for their support.''

Online KGK Certified Trainer Training Programme

The Online KGK Certified Trainer Training Programme is an online training project to be carried out with Aydın Branch of Turkish Psychological Counseling and Guidance Association. Psychological counselors in the province will be given awareness training consisting of sub-modules on the subject and it is planned to contribute to the development of the concept of gender by applying relevant practices to school administrators, teachers, families and children.

The primary goal of this project is to eliminate gender inequality and raise awareness. It is aimed to prevent violence and bullying to protect psychological health with the trainings to be given in order to improve gender perceptions.

Ege's Engineer Girls Intern Portal

Ege's Engineer Girls Trainee Portal is designed to invest in Turkey's future and contribute to the economic and social empowerment of our country by enabling women to take an advanced level in the field of engineering. It is aimed to develop and support the professional qualifications of the students who are designated as target groups and covered by the project during the internship period, to enrich their business experiences by taking advantage of internship programmes to be created in different companies in the region, and to create potential entrepreneurs of the future.

Women-Friendly Industry Project

The Women-Friendly Industry Project aims to ensure equal opportunities for women and men to enter business life, as well as to get industrialists in Aydın province to sign the Women-Friendly Industry Pledge. Strengthening the gender- sensitive local service delivery and policy development of industrial managers with Women-Friendly Industry Project, and increasing sensitivity to gender equality as a result of the project to be carried out widely in Aydın province, include getting the project participants to sign the Women-Friendly Pledge.
