A conference on Preservation and Market Preparation of Horticultural Products was held in cooperation with Aydın Commodity Exchange, Aydın Adnan Menderes University, Fig Research Institute and the Association of Cooling, Preservation, Transportation Sciences and Industrialists (SOMTAD).
At the Conference on Preservation and Market Preparation of Horticultural Products, which started with the opening speeches of Aydın Commodity Exchange Assembly President A.Bahri Erdel, Mr. Erdel talked about the contributions made to our country's economy with food product freezing technology and product freeze-drying technology. Mr. Erdel, sharing of methods that will increase the productivity of agricultural products by experts in the field and new generation agricultural technologies, will be ensure that these products reach the end consumer while preserving their freshness will benefit the sector stakeholders and the important agricultural products of our city.
After the opening speeches, the first session was held by SOMTAD President Prof.Dr. It was moderated by Rahmi Turk. The first session of the conference was held by Freeze Dry Mach Ltd.Şti. It started with the presentation of officials Arda Sokmen and Serkan Kılıc on Freeze Drying Technology in Fruits and Vegetables. Marketing strategy with the Freeze Dry method was mentioned. Product Freezing Technology in Foods was shared by Iceberg Product Storage Center official Derya Ikat.
The problems and solution suggestions of chestnut fruit, one of the important agricultural products of our province, in the preservation-market and market were conveyed by Aydın Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Horticulture Department Lecturer Prof. Doc. Engin Ertan.
