Aydın Commodity Exchange, which holds its activities in line with the wishes, suggestions and expectations of its members, explained the activities/functions that contribute to the economy of our province and our country at the Aydın Commodity Exchange, Meeting of Briefing to the Members.

Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, emphasized that they have done impressive studies that will contribute to the economy of our province and our country together with the members of Aydın Commodity Exchange. ‘’ Our Stock, which was accredited in 2010, provides 5-star service. It ranks in the top 15 as the registration traded value to exchanges among the 113 Exchanges in Turkey and ranks 2nd in the Aegean Region.’’ Stating that they are in the top 10 among 365 Chambers/Exchanges in the accreditation system, Aydın Commodity Exchange is the only class A Exchange between The Chamber Exchange located in Aydın province.
Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, who stated that himself and the members of Aydın Commodity Exchange participated in many national and international fairs, in 2021, the 9th Congress, which did not take place due to the pandemic, was held in 2021. Aydın stated the International Agriculture and Livestock Fair will be held on 13-16 January 2022.
Stating that they have done selfless labour to overcome the pandemic process with minimal damage, to take the necessary steps against the support and measures against the sector, Çondur said, ‘’We have conveyed the wishes and suggestions we have received from you to the decision-making authorities in every meeting we have attended. Under the leadership of our Union, we have provided a total of TL 5 Million in Financial Credit Support to the Breath Credit Campaign to contribute to the elimination of the financing problems of our members who are experiencing a financial crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Through TOBB, 6 billion 250 million liras loans were used in the breath credit for 2020.

(TURIB), TMO TOBB LIDAŞ A.Ş, Büyük Menderes Agricultural Products Licensed Warehouse Inc., Customs and Tourism
Enterprises Inc., China Olive Oil Licensed Warehouse Guided Warehouse Guided Project, Agriculture Baed Specialized Organized Industrial Zone studies.
Stating that they have done important work for the promotion and branding of agricultural products integrated with our province as Aydın Commodity Exchange, Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, informed the members as to the Aydın Chestnut, Aydın Memecik Olive Oil, Aydın Memecik Olive, Aydın Yamalak Yellow Olive and Aydın Pine Nut registration process, which has been accepted by Aydın Commodity Exchange as registered with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority and related institutions.
Çondur stated that Aydın Chestnut is Turkey’s 4th Geographically Marked product in the European Union and that they have applied for Geographical Indication of the European Union for Aydın Memecik Olive Oil and Aydın Memecik Olives, and that they aim to increase the number of products in the European Union to 4.
Çondur stated that Fig and Chestnuts are trationally purchased at symbolic prices on Aydın Commodity Exchange annually in order to increase the value of these products and support the producers by organizing the first purchase ceremonies in the 2 products we are the first to produce in our country.
Stating that they held sector meetings to identify problems, solutions and demands related to the sector, Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, stated that they communicated the relevant issues to the competent authorities and attempted to solve the problems.
At the member information meeting, Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, mentioned the tasting panels labours of Aydın Commodity Exchange, ‘’ The Tasting Panel established in 2010 is the Tasting Panel accepted to the IOC. In 2019, it was accredited by TURKAK approved by the Ministry of Agricultre.’’
Stating that olive oil tasting and promotional activities were organized together with the Testing Panel, Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, stated that they aimed to teach our whole country the distinctive features of original olive oil without cheating with tasting and promotional activities held in 28 provinces.
Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, stated that the members of Aydın Commodity Exchange could closely follow the developments in the sector, provide convenience to b usiness life and support their business developmet, and stated that they hold to organize training in line with the demands of the members.
Stating that their efforts have been devoted to making industry recommendations and requests public Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange Fevzi Çondur, ‘’We have issued a common declaration to the media releasing with the help of our province’s Chamber Exchanges since we are unpleasant with the introduction of olive oil, one of our country’s exported agricultural products. We requested to lift the ban on exports of bulk and barrel olive oil and ensured that this mispractice was repeated. We told our ministry that companies that manufacture and sell counterfeit and adulterated products should also be held responsible. As s result, the communique published in the Official Gazette discouraged all fines related to food counterfeiting and adulteration and entrusted the sellers to the responsibility.’’
Focusing on Dry Fig Premium support, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange, Fevzi Çondur said ‘’ At every platform, we have expressed the necessity of receiving Premium support for dry fig, which holds the best one position in domestic and global production. Also we continue to do so.’’
Çondur state that they demand an increase in cotton support premiums, the raw material of textile, which is the driving of our country. ‘’ We have forwarded to the authorities the issue of VAT withholding tax on added value, which is the biggest obstacle for the cotton trade, to our authorities and announced our request to abolish VAT for cotton,’’ he expressed.
Çondur stated that they have requested reduction of VAT to %1 in meat and packaged olive oil. She said they share the activities of the Aydın Commodity Exchange in local and national media programs we participated in.
Çondur said that the Aydın Commodity Exchange attaches great importance to social responsibility projects in addition to stock exchange activities. The Scientific and Arts Center of the Aydın Commodity Exchange, which was commissioned in 2014, mentioned their efforts and participated in the aid campaigns led by our Governorship for disaster victims suffering from educational aid, fire, flooding and earthquake.
Çondur stated that with the support of the members of the Aydın Commodity Exchange, the Parliamentary and Baord Members of the Aydın Commodity Exchange, their staff and the institutions and organizations of the Aydın Province would continue to work together with the excitement and perseverance they had on their first day.
